Suffolk Archive and Classic Film Festival

October / November 2010

We have had a very good response to the proposed Suffolk Archive and Classic Film Festival. The closing date for dates and film titles for the brochure is 14 JUNE. Still plenty of time, but venues need to be making decisions on dates and on how they want to run their Archive evening. Also, if you need to book the equipment you should be getting your bookings on the website to avoid having to hire externally as dates are filling up fast. We have over 20 venues from across Suffolk who are taking part.

What is the Network?

What does it give You?

Network members can borrow digital projection equipment, and get advice and training on how to run properly-licensed screenings in their own venues. Members choose the films they show to meet the needs of their local audiences.

Where did we come from?

The Network was set up with funding from: the National Lottery through the UK Film Council and Screen East; the East of England Development Agency; and several local authorities. In Feburary 2008 we received an Awards-for-All grant allowing us to purchase our fourth set of equipment.
